Day 1 Kashgar city Tour.
After breakfast, we will visit the Id Kah Temple, biggest one in Xinjiang. There is a handcraft street around the mosque to visit. Then visit Appak Hoja Tomb, a very special royal family Tomb which was built 17th century, a unique combination of Uighur traditional architecture. After lunch, we will visit the old town of Kashgar. The old town might be high light of your tour. It is not only about construction, but also the people living in the town, their daily life fascinates you.
Day 2 Kashgar to Shipton’s Arch,70km
In the morning, we visit Kashgar livestock market, it is only opens on Sundays, so make sure you have Sunday while you are in Kashgar, Livestock market is a very local, trading market for live animals, View of hundreds of sheep, cattle, horse and camels and people at the market reminds you the layout markets of mid-centuries. In the afternoon, we will drive to the Shipton’s Arch, a mountain site about 70 km away from Kashgar, maybe the highest natural arch in the world. On the way, you we will pass through very dry landscape and some oasis,they are the main feature of southern Xinjiang.
Day 3 Kashgar - Dawakol desert, 120km, 2hours
In the morning, we will drive to Dawakol desert, it will take about 2hours to get there, It is the western part of Taklamakan Desert, after arriving to the desert, we can either ride camel or take a Sand buggy to explore the desert dunes, It is very exciting tour, it is a fun and pleasant experience to walking around the desert, there are very good local restaurants near the desert, after lunch. you can spend as long as you want in the desert. Then back to Kashgar end the tour.
